Experiences While I have not tutored one on one in many years I have had previous experience doing so. During my undergraduate studies I tutored Japanese foreign exchange students in Psychology. During graduate school I did tutor one student in reading for several weeks. Another graduate course had me work one on one with a ESL learner. As an educator I especially enjoy one on one and small group work over whole class. It gives me the opportunity to help students reach goals or outline specific areas for students succeed and feel proud of themselves.

Hobbies

I especially enjoy reading, swimming, hiking, biking, and scrapbooking. I have created many scrapbooks for family and friends. It is definitely a passion of mine. I was a competitive swimmer starting at age 9 thru undergraduate school and have been a high school swim coach. I enjoy hiking when the weather is nice with my husband. It is always a great opportunity to spend time together without distractions. I have participated in the Seattle to Portland bike ride two times, another great activity to do with my husband and sometimes my teenagers.
